Clean Clams Harvest Method

Postby Ecologist on Sun Jun 14, 2009 10:49 pm

Place a small 3 x 3 foot piece of burlap over your Manila clam bed that is ready to harvest using wire stakes/staples to hold in place. After one high tide the clams underneath will have worked to the beach surface. No digging, raking and nice clean clams. Cover up any you don't harvest with a bit of beach sediment.
